Name: Tuvok Rank: Lieutenant Commander Born: 2264 Origin: Vulcan Place of Birth: Vulcan Assignment: U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656 Last Ship: U.S.S. Wyoming NCC-43730 Academy Class: 2293 99th percentile Upon graduation from Academy, assigned to U.S.S, Excelsior under Captain Hikaru Sulu. Served as junior science officer until 2298, Resigned from Starfleet. Resided on Vulcan for subsequent 51 years, engaging in civilian activities. In 2349, Tuvok rejoined Starfleet. Assigned to U.S.S. Wyoming. In 2351, transferred to Starfleet Academy as instructor . In 2367, selected by Captain Kathryn Janeway as her tactical officer. In 2369, was briefly assigned for several months to Jupiter Station. In 2371, assigned as an undercover operative to infiltrate Maquis. Was lost aboard Maquis ship commanded by Chakotay in the Badlands. U.S.S Voyager, investigating there, also lost contact with Starfleet, stardate 48307.5. Though all hands presumed lost, recent contact re-established with Voyager indicates it encountered the Maquis ship and Tuvok rejoined crew as tactical officer and security chief. In 2371, Tuvok received Captain's censure for defying her orders. He and other crew members (see B'elanna Torres) clandestinely exchanged Federation cultural materials with planet Sikaris natives for trajector technology, which could have returned ship quickly to Alpha Quadrant. (It was ultimately incompatible with Voyager systems.) Tuvok has otherwise served with distinction, particularly as instructor and mentor. In 2371, gave four new Maquis recruits Starfleet basic training. Regularly taught new crew member Kes Vulcan mental disciplines to harness her latent metapsychic powers. In 2372, assisted (now deceased) sociopathic crewman Lon Suder with controlling violent tendencies, though Tuvok briefly exhibited anti-social behavior as result of their mind-meld. Later, devised an elaborate ruse, using Tom Paris (see file) as an operative, to trap a spy believed to be operating aboard Voyager. Tuvok ceased to exist for two weeks in 2372, when a transporter accident merged him with crewmate Neelix at the molecular level, creating a new entity named Tuvix. In 2374, Tuvok was promoted to lieutenant commander.
